The day is suitable for participants working towards their assessment or anyone who needs CPD or a refresher. The day will be a mixture of classroom based teaching, fun quizzes and time spent outside seeing what we can find. You will be given a handout and lots of tips on how to remember certain species and their uses, along with some folk lore and quirky tales to tell your clients.
This session will take place on-site at Derwent Hill outdoor centre in the morning, followed by an afternoon session outdoors. You will have an opportunity to collect your packed lunch from the Centre at lunch time.
The day will be largely classroom based, with some time outdoors in the afternoon. People should bring warm clothes as there may be some standing around, notebook and pen, camera. Optional extras are binoculars.
