Monday 8th June 2020, workshop entitled "Helping trainees prepare for MCI problem solving and improvised rescue". The workshop will be based at Wildcat Crag near Matlock, with four spaces available to MCI or WMCI holders. I will facilitate this in the morning, with a practical look together at:
* what are the essential skills a trainee needs to have before assessment?
* best ways to teach improvised rescue, and what should a good venue offer to the trainer/trainee?
* the art of the action plan - can we teach the basics of this well, to give the trainee a firm foundation to build on?
In the afternoon, a number of trainees (minimum RCI holders, some MCI trained) will be turning up for some free training, so we get to put our mornings work to good use while it's still fresh.
This workshop is free for AMI members and trainees.
