A day workshop looking at some of the techniques and equipment used in the BCA CIC schemes and how they may be of use in the MCI/WMCI toolbox.

The workshop is practical and will include:

rigging - knots cavers use and application in crag rigging

equipment - specific items that may prove useful as 'crossover'kit 

rescue techniques - practical haul techniques, options for escaping ths system and the exotic spanish pendulum...

Based in Stoney Middleton Phil has caved for over 35 years all over the UK and Europe.  In 2021 he was one of tewo UK cavers to take part in an international expedition to Krubera-Veronya in Abkahsia, at rthe time the deepest cave in the world at -2197m.  He has discivered new caves in Albania and Picos. Phil has also climbed around the world including big walls in Yosemite. He is a WMCI, and a CIC trainer/assessor.
