Join Rachel Richards, Ecologist and Durham Wildlife Trust Wilderness Ranger for an evening of birswatching around the Low Barns Nature Reserve.
Keep your eyes peeled and we should be able to identify 25-35 species, with regular sightings of the Marsh and (rarer) Willow tit, learn what to listen and look out for and how to tell them apart.
There will also be information on the type of plants found in riverside and marsh areas and with a bit of luck we may find signs of mammals, including otters, which have been spotted on the site.
Rachel has run several BAIML / MTA CPD session before and is excellent at transferring her expansive knowledge to leaders.
Please bring a note book and binoculars ( if you have them)
We will be asking for a donation of around 10 pounds to cover Rachels costs and to make a donation to the Durham Wildlife Trust.
Please email Kirsty (BAIML Yorks and NE Rep) for more information or to book a place.
