Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on single pitch crags and climbing walls. Common activities undertaken by Rock Climbing Instructor will be roped climbing and bouldering. This scheme does not include the skills and techniques required to teach lead climbing.

Rock Climbing Instructor Assessment course.
This qualification is all about taking people climbing and abseiling on single pitch crags and artificial structures. Whether you're a parent, a volunteer or an outdoor centre instructor, the Rock Climbing Instructor qualification trains and assesses experienced rock climbers to instruct climbing.
The course is provided by Dave Brown, a highly experienced, knowledgeable climbing enthusiast, MIC and Mountain Training Schemes trainer/assessor with 25 years experience of training and assessing other instructors in safe, enjoyable, learning environments.
Our aim is to confirm that you are already at the level, becuase you're already delivering climbing and abseiling sessions as per your logbook and experience.
Come along and join us, be assessed and learn at the same time from our experienced team of enthusiastic climbers and mountaineers.
This course will be conducted mainly outdoors with the indoor element conducted at a local climbing wall.
