WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES
A one day workshop aimed at competent lead climbers who would like to learn the skills to access sea cliff climbing.
Some of the skills we aim to cover on the workshop include the following;
Different types of abseiling set ups and devices.
How to read tide tables and weather forecasts.
Different types of prusik knot.
Different set ups for ascending a rope.
Improvised ascending set ups.
This workshop is run by Alex Riley from Moelwyn Mountaineering. Alex is passionate about rock climbing and climbed all over the world, from alpine peaks to Yosemite bigwalls. He loves to help climbers develop the skills visit exciting new places in a fun and relaxed learning environment.
EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED
Personal Kit:
Waterproofs and warm layers
Harness and Helmet (can be borrowed)
Lunch and enough water for the day
Rucksack
Personal Rack (we will have spares if you don't have your own)
