WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES
Central & N London Region peer led evening Flower Walk and Night Nav. We will start out exploring the early Spring flora of the chalk downland (Hartslock NR) and Thames river meadows (Little Meadow NR) in the Chilterns AONB near Goring. We hope to find some rare and uncommon plants, including Pasque Flower, Monkey/Lady Orchid hybrid, Milkwort, Cowslips, Snake's Head Fritillaries, and more.
After sundown - about 8 pm - we will have an opportunity for some night nav and to consider hazards while walking at night.

Meet point is 5 mins walk from Goring & Streatley station Goring (GWR).
EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED
Usual outdoor kit to keep you warm and dry in the lowland environment (the Pasque Flowers like to grow on exposed hillsides).
Binoculars may be useful.
OS Map Explorer 171 Chiltern Hills West (will bring a few spares) and compass.
CATERING/FOOD
Bring your own if required.
WORKSHOP PROVIDER CREDENTIALS
Peer lead. Facilitators have good flora knowledge and are experienced walk leaders with relevant awards.

Please communicate at the earliest so that your place be offered to others. These sessions are organised by volunteers who put a lot of effort into organising them. We may also get concerned for your safety on route if you do not arrive.
