Overview
Have you a desire to learn how to ascend ropes by single rope technique ( SRT ) or has the thought never crossed your mind but this sounds like interesting and technical CPD. If so then this workshop will tick those boxes and much more.
SRT allows you to access some exciting, adventurous and cool places, such as caves, cliffs, canyons, mines, pot holes and buildings. Being able to SRT and understand all the principles will open up new possible adventures and give you another skill set.
The workshop will be very much hands one ( hence the max 1.4 ratio) and based in North Wales. The day will focus on the technical equipment and skills required to SRT both in ascent and descent.
Not only this, but course will be run underground ( so no getting wet or cold ) which will also add to the day as we will undertake a little exploring and show you the wonderful hidden world of Welsh slate mines. Fear not, this is not caving, there is no crawling, no stopping, no flood risk, it is all large passages and chambers. The venue we use has been inspected by a qualified mines inspector.
