A Problem Solving and Improvised Rescue workshop run by Kath James - top tips and handy hints on how to be progressive in your teaching of rescue techniques and improving slickness in performing rescues. We will look at the variety of techniques that an instructor might put to use when teaching climbing. We will discuss how and when to use different techniques and lots of different teaching progressions and ways of supporting your clients learning.

Dealing with knots in ascent and descent
More complex crag evacuations
This workshop is open to Full and Trainee members of AMI
With 12 years experience of working at Plas y Brenin I have built up a wealth of knowledge in teaching climbing. Kath has extensive experience of training and assessing and directing MCI, RCI, ML & HML courses.
We will meet in Hathersage and head to a suitable venue for the day. You need to bring along your climbing kit, and suitable clothing food and drink for the day.
