Our Rock Skills courses are designed to provide structured training opportunities for people who want to learn more and become independent climbers. There are three different levels so that complete beginners and those with more experience can choose the most appropriate starting point.

This has been created to support the Tide Climbing Wall and their International Women's Day event

The Rock Skills Learn to Lead Sport course are ideal for people who are ready to progress to leading sport routes on rock, improve their lead climbing confidence or refresh their leading skills.

Covering skills such as;

• Lead belaying
• Clipping bolts
• Working routes
• Rethreading anchors
• Clip stick use

Course Aims

Our aim is to deliver a course that is safe, fun, engaging and flexible to meet your needs, setting you up to become a confident and independent sport climber.

By the end of this course you will have;

• Climbed on a variety of sport climbing routes in the South West.
• Developed a range of skills to support you lead climbing journey at a sport crag.
• Feel more confident and knowledgeable with your lead sport climbing and belaying.
