A workshop covering the theoretical and practical aspects of placing bolt anchors for climbing.
The workshop will cover:
- EN959 Rock anchor standard and what it means.
- Different anchor and lower off types, expansion and resin anchors.
- Overview of ethics, conservation and liability.
- Review of equipment needed.
- Practical session covering placing anchors.
Equipment
This will be an outdoor, ground based session, so outdoor clothing including waterproofs and sturdy foot wear will be required. All other PPE will be provided
