Workshop Content

For full Mountaineering and Climbing Instructors and Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructors that feel that they wish to be brought up to speed with the latest information and techniques. A chance to workshop ideas with your peers. Your workshop leader will manage the day to bring together and guide discussion. 

Candidates should be prepared to do a lot of climbing during the day as the focus will be on practical applications. However the workshop will also provide a flexible format in order to address individual’s key interests and preferred learning priorities.

•    Double rope
•    Climbing in series
•    Climbing parallel (a flèche)
•    Sea cliff
•    Directional anchors
•    Avoiding Fall factor 2
•    Belay devices    
•    Teaching progressions
•    Learning outcomes/guiding aims
•    Opportunities for delivering UIAA Skills training partnership

Equipment

Candidates should be prepared to do a lot of climbing during the day as the focus will be on practical applications.
