A one-day face to face interactive workshop aimed to support candidates, tutors, assessors and providers. The content of the workshop will be to add further understanding, depth and contextualisation of the online ‘Teachable’ resource. The aim will be to clearly show the progression from ‘leadership’ teaching & learning to ‘instructor’ teaching & learning by highlighting the common themes and additional skills/behaviours an instructor will need"

 

The course will be staffed by Sandy Paterson and Doug Cooper - both trainers and assessors with a long time involvement with training and assessing on the Mountain Training qualification schemes including at Mountaineering Instructor level.

 

Prior to the course you will be sent a link to an on-line resource, hosted on the MTS Teachable platform, consisting of a 20–30 minute course that introuduces some of the ideas that will cover in during the workshop. This must be completed prior to attending this course.
