This workshop will look at how to support clients with a fear of falling. 

Many will describe their fear in this way and think that the way to deal with it is to fall off more and do ‘fall practice’.  This workshop will look at all the necessary steps (which need to come first) required to manage fear and anxiety WITHOUT  fall practice.  We will also look at when fall practice may be appropriate and how to go about using this – with caution – it’s not right for everyone.  Whilst we are using a sport climbing crag we’ll also discuss the next steps for supporting people in trad climbing too.
