Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on single pitch crags and climbing walls. Common activities undertaken by Rock Climbing Instructor will be roped climbing and bouldering. This scheme does not include the skills and techniques required to teach lead climbing.

The Rock Climbing Instructor qualification is for those who wish to introduce others to safe climbing and abseiling on single pitch crags.

It is relaxed and open, encouraging discussion and debate around many subjects. It will invariably provide us with the chance deliver extra learning and coaching for you but all the while allowing you the maximum amount of opportunities to shine.
Leading Edge try very hard to make this a super positive experience. We will meet at Caffi Caban, Brynrefail (nr Llanberis), on the first morning of the course where we will begin with an informal chat and an explanation of how the assessment process works.
