Personal/Group experience
Habitat: Climbing outdoors/indoors at least once a week, can be found most weekends out on the mountains somewhere in the UK, (occasionally nocturnal and likely to be seen off the normal pedestrian routes)
-Approx 40 years experience of mountaineering & Climbing in the UK and Overseas with small groups and friends
-Indoor Lead climbing grade 6b+ (subject to venue variations and spinning holds, often heard using lack of height 5’7” as an excuse)
-Optimistic outdoor lead climbing grade HVS (subject to the weather, heavy rain and storm force winds occasionally know to dampen enthusiasm)
-Working for Dudley local authority as Climbing Instructor Youth & Adult classes at Crystal Leisure Center, Stourbridge, for approx 18 years.
-Have coached numerous climbers from the course to compete in the ‘BMC Youth Climbing Series Finals’ over the last few years.
-Climbing sessions with young offenders groups
-Event marshalling via 'Jagged Globe' for 3 Peak 'Action for Charity' Challenge event last 14 years & Sea2Summit challenge Events alongside members of Llanberis MRT team.
-DofE Expedition Assessor for Gold Silver & Bronze Awards
