I have known Rob over a number of years and worked with him on numerous occasions, usually event marshaling! Rob is always extremely well prepared for these events which can often involve long lonely vigils at the dead of night waiting for the next competitor to emerge out of the mist! He often takes on the most difficult and unglamorous position high on the mountain and completes the task with a ready smile of someone who is comfortable with the task in hand and what he has been tasked to do, whatever the weather. He is a well traveled climber and mountaineer who enjoys all the different disciplines within our sport, be it summer, winter, indoor or out in the UK or overseas. A true all rounder!
