Description

We parked the car at walna scar carpark and then walked around and spent the day climbing at dow crag, finished climbing around half 7 and headed around to the old man visiting brimfell on the way. It was dark as we reached the summit with a clear night sky, and views down to blackpool and the isle of man. we then followed the footpath down through the quarry and back to the car park.

Area : Southern Fells (Scafell Pike)

The Southern Fells Include Scafell Pike, the highest peak in England, occupy a broad area to the south of Great Langdale, Borrowdale and Wasdale. High and rocky towards the centre of the Lake District, the Southern Fells progressively take on a moorland character toward the south west. In the south east are the well known Furness Fells, their heavily quarried flanks rising above Coniston Water.
