Description

Came up to Cloggy for a last chance before winter. Arrived to find everything looking very scary, green, slimy and overhanging! so opted for an Easy Route. Turned into a full day epic on this very primitive route. A permanent cold breeze from the south made warming up at any point difficult. Arrived at the top to a glorious golden sky over Mynydd Mawr. With Ian Darley.

Area : Clogwyn Du'r Arddu

Often referred to as Cloggy, and is considered by many climbers to be one of the best climbing cliffs in Britain. It is north-facing and comparatively remote (700m above sea level) on the flanks of Snowdon. The first recorded climb on the cliff was the 1798 ascent of the Eastern Terrace by the Reverends Peter Williams and W. Bingley, botanists looking for alpine plants.
