Les Gets, French Alps
‘Day 1 - Exped 2011’. -8 oC warming throughout the day. Clear sky mainly, lenticular building N/NE (Bise). Started at Bonnavaz (1200), followed snow covered track (road), took RH fork and ascended to huts at Combafon, followed track, ascended road and headed to Foron de Millieu (1499), followed track on west side of valley back to bus at Bonnavaz. Environmental day – Ash, Rowan, Beeech, Birch, Masterwort (Umbillifa), animal tracks – fox, hare, wild boar, shrew, squirrel, beech marten.
