‘Day 6 - Exped 2011’
Last day of ‘Exped 2011’. Sunny all day. Left le Pré, headed up open slope (zig-zag). Found small bank and introduced methods of belaying (buried axe/rucsac/body), before heading into the wooded track ‘les Pentes de Bouviet’, traversing around until open land reached, and then headed to les Mais for lunch. Taught firelighting skills using surrounding material (including ‘old mans beard’ and ‘spruce resin’ found earlier in the week), cooked marshmallows on 2 separate fires. Headed NE to la Rosiere and back down slope to le Pré for pick-up.
