‘Day 5 - Exped 2011’
Slightly overcast and good snow for descent. Drove through Morzine to Vallee de la Manche. Started at l’Erigne devant, headed up to the bridge past ‘Crapahutte’ to the small lake at Mines d’Or, through woodland to open land, past Chalets de Freterolles before ascending to Col de Coux (1921) on French/Swiss border. Returned via same route, albeit more direct, getting snowshoes to slide. Excellent journey day.
