ground conditions: wet; weather: rain, then hail, then overcast.
A quick Tryfan summit in the weather window this morning, this time trying to take the dogs Reg & Nanw as directly on the "simian" scrambling route as possible, and finding other ways of avoiding them.
On Tryfan, there's two kinds of walking routes: Simian ones (that require full ape-like ability but dogs find difficult due to e.g., exposed vertical sections) and Canine ones (ones that dogs can scrabble up, e.g., with slabs that humans may find tricky).
The Canine Routes are good for taking walkers who'd like to explore Tryfan!

Glyderau
The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
