Description

TF and I left our 5100m camp and headed up our 1hr commute, via the ABC and up the steep re-entrant into the hidden valley.
Met the teams at Camp 5400m and moved up-valley twds the glacier. I shadowed both teams in order to oversee and assist with the snow/ice skills training which we did on bands of snow that survived on the steep, E facing moraine banks.
TF ended up with Jamie`s team and roped up. I took an advance party of Raph`s team while he stayed back with the slower ones. We ran through more skills on the glacier and then moved up it to around 5700m, unroped a glacier free of objective hazards and slope angles amenable.
Everyone buzzing. Maegan (scientist) said "This is the best things I`ve done in my whole life!" which made all the hard work worth it!
