Dot and I took the bus from Ellmau to Scheffau then fought our way onto the bus towards the Hintersteiner See. We started and finished at Barnstatt and ascended Scheffauer (2,111m). A challenging hike with lots of scrambling near the top and one long section protected by a cable near the top. Although several other sections without a cable that seemed more difficult! A few places where Dot needed some encouragement.
