Starting from Honister YHA I lead a group of 10 students from Leeds University on a ridge walk from Dale Head to Cat Bells then back along the western shores of Derwent Water via Grange to the hostel on the Eastern banks.

Essentially this area is encompassed by Lakes of Bassenthwaite, Derwent Water, Buttermere and Crummock Water with the southern boundary being the Honister Pass
