I lead a group of 11 students on a low level circular route from Derwent Independent Hostel along Derwent Water then up the ridge that leads to Cat Bells and back to the hostel via Grange.

Essentially this area is encompassed by Lakes of Bassenthwaite, Derwent Water, Buttermere and Crummock Water with the southern boundary being the Honister Pass
