Description

Superb first day of the season. Mostly clear skies and summits for the day. Moderate wind - gusty on the summits. Starting from the forstery gate we wound up through the track then branched off to the follow the fence west of the forest. Heading up to the ridge to then track along to the summit of Meal Greigh. From there we dropped down onto the shoulder to chat about next moves. We all decided we could go on and finish the next summit before heading down and back to the car. I had problems with my left knee and hip all day and found it really tough to get back to the car. So much so thta I followed the main path back down to the road while the two other went cross country to pick up the car then pick me up.

Area : Glen Lyon to Glen Dochart & Loch Tay (Ben Lawers)

This area covers the peaks to the north and east of Crianlarich. Glen Lyon forms the northern boundary while the road from Crianlarich to Aberfeldy is the southern boundary. The Ben Lawers group in the east of this area includes seven separate peaks, all Munros, which are part of an impressive 12km ridge line. The western side of this area is generally lower and not as steep but does still home some a number of Munros. All major peaks above 600m are included in the mountains list. The area to the north is Loch Rannoch to Glen Lyon.
