Nice to start the day with dry boots for a change. And a really mellow walk down the strath.
Climbed away from it via Achnashallach Station and back into snow.
Fuar Tholl, Sgorr Ruadh and Beinn Liath Mhor all looked very fine.
Crossed bealach between .769 and .926.
Narrow passage down on N side at R edge of cliffs. Deep snow. Beautiful scene. Liathach rearing up into cloud.
Reached Ling hut and was happy with the pitch behind it.
Headed to the road out of curiosity and met first fellow hill walkers in 8 days. Within two minutes they`d offered hospitality at their cottage by the sea. I took it.
Area :
Cuillin and Torridon (Liathach)
This area is on the west coast of Scotland and its most well-known mountains are probably Beinn Eighe (1010m) and Liathach (1055m). The area is bordered by Loch Maree and the A832 to the north and Glen Carron and the A890 to the south. It should not to be confused with The Cuillin which is on Skye and listed in the Western Isles region. The mountains list contains all peaks above 800m.
