Justin and I, after a leisurely breakfast at the cottage with our new friends, headed up Allt an Tuill Bhain.
Beautiful to briefly enjoy sunshine and to have company.
Felt tired for sure: 9th straight day but got warmed up into it and forged a trail through the fresh snow.
Trended R and soon onto steeper avalanche terrain.
At 750m I called it. Not happy with avalanche risk or our slow progress or the 5 month old dog. Justin happy. Haggis less so. Justin had to sled down with Haggis on lap. Not quite the full mountain dog just yet.
So Liathach is for another day.
Area :
Cuillin and Torridon (Liathach)
This area is on the west coast of Scotland and its most well-known mountains are probably Beinn Eighe (1010m) and Liathach (1055m). The area is bordered by Loch Maree and the A832 to the north and Glen Carron and the A890 to the south. It should not to be confused with The Cuillin which is on Skye and listed in the Western Isles region. The mountains list contains all peaks above 800m.
