I took my 9 year old daughter up the coniston fells alongside my uncle. beautiful day with a huge amount of snow, very compact on the footpaths. I used grivel spiders on her little feet which worked a treat on the icy areas, and despite the odd bit of moaning she enjoyed the day. pretty big route for little legs in winter, taking in the full conston to swirl how traverse dropping down to levers water and back via the coppermines cottages.
