
Second day in N Wales with girlfriend who is inexperienced at mountain walking. Following success of trip to Snowdon on previous day we went on a circular route from Llyn Ogwen, up to Llyn Idwal and then up to Tryfan via the south ridge. After summit retraced route south and then climbed Glyder Fach and then Glyder Fawr. Descended by Devil's Kitchen to Llyn Idwal. Good day and girlfriend really enjoyed the walk and is looking forward to next trip!

The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
