THE GABLES AND KIRT FELL
Starting at Seathewaight car park, and walking up the track hand railing sour milk gill, scrambling up towards Base Brown across to Green Gable then passing through windy gap to Great Gable. From Great Gable to descend to Beckhead tarn then up along the ridge to Kirk fell, using the same route we retreated back to great Gable. Using various features to descend the scree slope on the north facing slope then using the climbers track to decend passing Styhead tarn and back towards seathwaight.
Ice axe and crampons were vital and nav was crutial!.
