Got roped in at the last min to joining a `drinking club with a mountaineering problem` friends from Wrexham Uni Club for the Oggie 8.
Very slow walking group, took over 13 hours!!!!
Heavy rain from the top of the shoulder of Y Garn. Rest of the group admitted they couldn`t navigate when we were on the Glyders in very low vis and power shower like rain. Enjoyed it more when I realised I HAD to navigate to get back to Base..Beer and Hog Roast. One of the Ogwen guys walked out from base to meet up coming off the hill, beer in hand!
Drybag phone was in leaked and phone was soggy, dismantled and lay near fire at Oggie Base drying out - worked again after :) Blackberry.

Glyderau
The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
