Start Tanefacht (off P1727, heading N out of Taroudant).
From Tanefacht followed road N to Tasguint, at this point turned W off road following village paths/roads to Tamarwoute (chatted a friendly local who set us on the right path). Ascended ridge above most westerly point of TW to gain dirt road leading to quarry WNW of village.
When road crossed river (going down to the village)we began ascending ridge upon which the quarry is situated to gain the ridgeline. Followed ridge to tree-line at about 2300m and bivied. (14km, 1276m ascent).
25-30 degrees celsius and sunny during day, no wind. Brief rain and wind during the night.
Following morning continued up ridge via old mule path to just bellow Tizi Ifguig. Decidied to head back as failed to find water, fsatigued and thunder storm approaching. Descended as for ascent except for descent of ridge south of Tamarwoute to avoid village. Showers on descent and some thunder, overcast.
