The second day of a World Challenge training weekend with a group of students from my school. The route climbed out of the campsite at Gwern Gof Isaf and up the ridge of Braich y Ddeugwm to meet the footpath on the ridge by the lakes of Llyn Caseg-friath. The group then climbed up toward Glyder Fach. Although the visibility was excellent, there was strong wind on the ridge and some members of the group also started to get cold. At the point the decision was made not to go to the summit of Glyder Fach but instead use the group shelter to have lunch before descending along the same path. During the descent one of the students became ill and so I and another leader from this group needed to help support her during the descent down from the mountain. Fortunately we got her down as safety and quickly and once out of the wind and back at the campsite she began to recover.

Glyderau
The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
