
61. Tryfan mountaineering day:
Little Tryfan and Tryfan.Group: Craig, Glyn, Jon.
Organised by me. Weather: clear blue sky 5degC no wind.
Started from Glan Dena, I led Craig up Left Edge (VDiff), then continued onto Tryfan where I led North Buttress (VDiff), while Glyn and Jon took North Buttress Direct (S) and also Belle Vue Bastion Direct (VS 4c?). Finished by descending south ridge then trending right to pick up the top of Cwm Bochlwyd at the bottom of Llyn Bochlwyd.

The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
