Skills: route finding; group management; steep ground.
Original aim: to tackle North Ridge. Decided against following the whole ridge when we arrived at the top of Bastow Gully. Followed the path around the east side instead. This led us eventually to some interesting scrambling and then onto the top of North Gully. arrived at the summit from the southeast. Descended via West Ridge scramble. Start: 10h30, finish 18h00. Small children are slow!

The Glyderau (a Welsh plural form, also known in English as the Glyders) are a mountain group in Snowdonia, North Wales. The name derives from the highest peaks in the range, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. According to Sir Ifor Williams, the word "Glyder" derives from the Welsh word "Cludair", meaning a heap of stones.
