Description

A very easy walk around the RSPB site at Tindale Tarn, Hallbankgate. I followed the track from the car park Eastwards which was very pleasant and had extensive moorland views, with an amazing view Northwards. It crossed my mind that it would be an excellent place to view the Northern Lights. I followed this track down to the Tarn. From here I headed SW along another track past Stagsike, which then followed a lovely track alongside Howgill Beck. Upon reaching the road at Howgill I headed North past Tortie which led back to the car park at NY589585.

Area : Northern Pennines
