
Having analysed the video data from the last session we discovered a few technical things that we can improve upon in Richards climbing. One of which is the shifting of his COG and finding a plumb line when clipping and matching etc. Therefore I ran a session with 3 different drills he can perform when warming up that will improve his ability to find his plumb line and shift the COG underneath his hands rather than relying on the musculature to keep him stable. Its subtle but mega important.
We then did some fall practice as thats another concern he has been having of late. Perhaps due to top roping continually in prep for competitions.
