10km +1560m. Torridon.
Van GR916555 (07.20) followed path to Mullach an Rathain (09.35), after a little bit of route finding I down climbed the Northern Pinnacles to Meall Dearg (10.15). It was simpler ascending the pinnacles back to Mullach an Rathain. A simple walk along the ridge took me to Am Fasarinen (11.35) and the joys of the traverse before coming back to earth and starting up the quartzite boulder field to Spidean a' Choire Leath (12.30). Further boulder fields and some pleasant ridge walking took me to Stop a' Choire Liath Mhor (13.30) and Stuc a' Choire Dhuibh Bhig (14.10). I then had to retrace my step to the start of the descent path at 833m (14.20) which I followed back down into the glen and temperatures of 26ºC. I walked some of the way back along the road, but was lucky enough to get a lift from a Dutch family back to the van (15.45).
This was a stunning walk along the ridge with great views.
