Description

Starting from Lanthwaite Green Farm, walking east and crossing the bridge over Liza Beck and up the nose of Whin Ben to scramble up to Whiteside.
From there carrying on east to Hopegill Head, then dropping south over Sand Hill down to Coledale Hause.
From Coledale Hause, I followed the stream (which was now a river after so much rainfall) for approx 400 metres and then crossed it to make my way up to Grasmoor.
I was going to return to Cinderdale Common via Lad Hows, but with the heavy rain and looking at the steepness of the descent, I decided to return to Buttermere via Wandope Moss, Whiteless Edge and Whiteless Pike.

Area : North Western Fells

Essentially this area is encompassed by Lakes of Bassenthwaite, Derwent Water, Buttermere and Crummock Water with the southern boundary being the Honister Pass
