Description

I went to the Kilpatrick hills to do navigation practice. It was a beautiful day, but many things went wrong - as soon as I stopped walking I was attacked by clegs, so I had to put on a warm fleece and midge headnet in the sweltering heat. When I tried to take a bearing, I came up against a new forest plantation that wasn't on the map. There was thunder forecast in the afternoon, and I rushed a bit, as I could see dark clouds approaching. I was trying to check my targets on my OS phone app, but it went a bit wrong.
A bit of a learning curve in many respects.
