Day one of three in Lakes with Adam who was pretty new to winter walking. Walked from Dungeon Ghyll to Bowfell and on to Esk Pike. Vis was good to moderate for majority of the day. wind was incredibly strong. Most gusts were abound 40+ mph with one section just near the summit of Esk Pike reaching what felt like double, in a wind trap. Crossing through the gap was memorable. Navved on 1:40 all day.
