We are a week into Covid 19 lockdown, only allowed to 'exercise' from home. It seems a bit of a cheat to include these in my Dlog, but I do want to record the changing wildlife and plants observed around my home in East Dunbartonshire, particularly in relation to the dates these arrive and leave. So the compromise is to summarise my daily walks and runs into a single entry per week.
In the week 22 to 29 March we had runs by Blairskaith Quarry and Baldernock Linn, and walks to the trig point, and along the River Kelvin both east & west. Made friends with a pair of Goosanders on the Kelvin, between Cadder & Torrance a seasonal pond had a dozen or so Wigeon & similar number of Shoveler. Another flooded field west on the Kelvin had a 'spring' of Teal and a lapwing. Pink footed geese are getting ready to leave us. In the hedgerows & verges, the first spring flowers appearing are Lesser Celandine. Primroses already out.
