Spent the afternoon abseiling. We talked a lot about safety and redundancy in the system. Sarah's friend died in an abseiling accident, so it was useful to explain the various back ups we use, including multiple anchor points and a back up rope. We switched from abseiling to then bringing her back up on a direct belay, using the safety rope. We also practiced setting up a proper personal abseil with a prussik back up (still on safety rope). Really productive day.
