Another walk I was testing for my dog hiking guides using the 1:25000 map. I started from Thackthwaite and climbed up the fell via Galloway Farm. I walked up to Watching Crag and onto Low Fell and then over to Bield. Micro spikes were used. The snow was not very deep and was melting. I returned via Sourfoot Fell and then back by the same route I came up.
