Description

Better vis but started before light so head torches on and stormed off up chalamain gap to get towards Courour Bothy. We got there and stopped to have a coffee, already having been a long day. Decided to go and explore the corries around us and see if there was much snow to play with as there wasn't much at the bothy even though was at a high level anyway.

Slopes up to Ben Macdui were looking good however definitely had some avalanche debris so decided to go up and inton. Might be nice to do the Ceann Crionn Carn a Mhaim at some point thought>?

Headed up into th Coire Odhar before going to Devils Point, had wanted to go there for a long time. Then on to Cairn Toul and Angels peak before navving off down the easy slope into the valley of Glen Geusachan and back to the Courour Bothy,

Area : The Cairngorms

The Cairngorms are ‘a little piece of the arctic in Scotland’ according to the SMC Munros Guide and the area contains many of the tallest peaks in the East Highlands. Ben Macdui (1309m), Cairn Gorm (1244m) and Braeriach (1296) are probably three of the better known and the whole area is full of steep corries and high plateaux. Access to the mountains is typically from Aviemore or Braemar.
