Started at Ladybower Inn, headed over the dam and up over Winn Hill. Headed NW along the Roman Road all the way to Upper Ashop. From here I headed North and followed the river up to Alport Farm. Headed East up to the high ground then back down around the outdoor centre, across the dam then SE along the waters edge back the Ladybower inn to finish the route.

Is situated between Sheffield and Manchester. The underlying rock is Millstone grit which is often exposed at the edge of the higher peat bogs for which the area is famous.
