Description
Started in Castleton and headed North to the summit of Lose Hill. From here I headed West along the ridge to Mam Tor and along to Lords Seat. Down the hill and south through Rushup Farm to Sparrowpit. East along the Pennine Bridleway along the low ground to start heading NE along the Limestone Way back in towards Castleton. This was a great day out with friends in the hills.
Area :Dark Peak
Is situated between Sheffield and Manchester. The underlying rock is Millstone grit which is often exposed at the edge of the higher peat bogs for which the area is famous.
